THE RECOPS FRAMEWORK
(4 min read)
I think it would be useful to recap what I’ve shared thus far. Then pan out to show you how this fits into this overall “framework” that I’ve been eluding to.
So…we started our little journey by stating the obvious — running a recruiting function is really hard and is only getting more complex.
But you already knew that. Because you live it!
But, what you might not have known is that recruiting leaders all over the world are having this shared experience. The shared experience is the overwhelm we feel when trying to keep up with HR tech, develop our team, run projects, balance our stakeholders, fill jobs and maybe (just maybe) squeeze a family vacation in somewhere.
We called this “The Epidemic of Overwhelm”.
From there, we uncovered that the overwhelm we’re feeling is a symptom of something I referred to as a “Reactive Recruiting Function”. A Reactive Recruiting Function happens when we don’t have an ongoing, always-on, deliberate strategy to control the operational side of what we do.
In short, we lack a systematic way of running our function — so our function runs us!
Finally, we learned that most of this mess isn’t really our fault. We’ve never been taught how to run a high-performing recruiting function. We’ve been left to our own devices, trying to figure things out by ourselves.
The good news is; however, that there is a solution!
There is a proven framework we can use, that works in any recruiting function, in any industry, anywhere in the world.
I’ve developed this framework over the last 20 years in the trenches as a recruiter, recruiting leader, consultant and recruiting tech founder.
I call this framework (and collection of systems in the framework) something really creative.
Wait for it…
I call it…The RecOps Framework.
Here’s what it looks like:
So there you have it! The key to all your biggest recruiting problems organized into just 5 rectangular boxes.
You should have everything you need now to take control of your function, be seen as a strategic advisor, have your team love you and bask in the glow of work-life balance.
It’s time to go implement the framework now. Best of luck to you!

Wait…did you really think I would leave you hanging like that???
To introduce the framework and then not tell you how to use it?
I wouldn’t do you like that.
The truth is, I do want to tell you more. But there’s a lot more to it.
To get the full overview of the framework and how to use it to supercharge your recruiting function, you have to take the “Red Pill”.
Or, you can take the “Blue Pill”…
Taking the blue pill means remaining content with your current reality. Not being open to learning career-altering strategies that create a better reality for you at work and at home.
The Blue Pill involves you simply doing nothing. Close this window. Be skeptical that any of this would ever work. Forget you ever saw the RecOps Framework and go back to the daily grind.
If that’s your choice…good luck to ya! I’m sure you’ll be fine.
OR…You can take the Red Pill.
Taking the Red Pill means that you’re willing to learn something new that might bend your current state of reality, changing how you see the world forever.
Okay that was a little dramatic. (I’ve been watching The Matrix again)
But you get what I mean.
Taking the Red Pill means that you’re ready to learn more about The RecOps Framework and how you might be able to use it to change the way you run your recruiting function.
If you’re ready to take the Red Pill, I think I can help. I did write the book on this after all!
To get started, it’s 1,000% free. But I do ask for one simple thing. I like to know who’s in my “tribe”. My tribe are people like yourself. TA leaders who are ambitious and ready to learn new ways to optimize every part of their recruiting function.
To that end, I simply ask that you enter your email address and some other basic info in the fields below.
From there, I’ll send you a sequence of lessons via email that unpack each section of The RecOps Framework in a lot more detail. Getting the information in chunks over time is a proven way for leaders like yourself to consume the content, have time to think about it, and maybe even try it out before you get the next email.
The other benefit of getting on the email list is that you can always hit “reply” and ask me anything you want! I read and reply to every email.
So, what do you say? Are you ready for The Red Pill? If so, please complete the form below. I look forward to hearing from you!
